What is a DKIM record?

HomepageArticlesAbout Mail ServerWhat is a DKIM record?

DKIM comes from the initials of Domain Keys Indentified Mail. DKIM verifies that emails are from a secure source and have not been modified.

DKIM is one of the essentials of a mail. It blocks fake posts and DKIM signed posts are always considered trustworthy if other conditions are true. Protects IP Reputation and prevents fraud. So how does DKIM work?

You have prepared and sent an e-mail. Meanwhile, your mail sent to the opposite server goes through certain checks. The DKIM control is one of these controls. If DKIM is configured, this mail goes to the opposite mail server as signed and asks for confirmation. If the counter mail server matches the signature to which the mail was sent with the signature in your DNS record, the signature is considered valid and verifies you. If the signature sent by mail does not match the signature in your DNS record, then it will send your mail directly to the spam folder or reject it.

DKIM provides extremely important security. It is absolutely necessary to open and make settings in Mail Servers.
